Flout Without Klout!

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past month, you may have noticed that Klout has been receiving some criticism since changing their scoring algorithm. With hundreds, maybe even thousands of people a little miffed at having their precious scores lowered or slashed, the back lash has been immense. However, some people have found the entire thing hilarious and comedic. So what do you do if you scoff at Klout or find the whole scoring thing ridiculous? Flout it of course! I wonder what inspired the name…?!

You Scored WHAT?!

Let me have the pleasure of introducing you to “Flout”, the scoring system which knows you know your special! In fact, it wants youto brag about how wonderful you are and what better way of allowing you to that than set your own score?! That’s right, whether you want to be modest or live up to a God complex, you set your own score. from zero to a billion, how influential do you think you should be? I estimated mine to be 200. What?! I thought that was reasonable…! Seeing as so many people took to the streets crying about their scores, this allows you to set it as high as you like. It may not be factual but if you wanted algorithms then stick the new improved Klout, if you want what any score you like, then have some fun with Flout instead and stop complaining.

Harmless Fun

With so much bitterness towards Klout and even towards all scoring metrics, Flout is a little harmless fun which encourages people to poke fun at themselves as well as the metrics idea. And with so much hatefulness over the past month, maybe it’s exactly what people need to make them grin and smirk. Yes, metrics have a long way to go but they can prove useful as a guide. But go on, treat yourself to your most desired and perfect score for the day, you know you want to!
